If you enjoy DIY, gardening, maintenance or restoration work then there are a number of organisations that would welcome your skills and enthusiasm.  You could help on projects that work with older people who need help in their home or in their gardens.  Keen gardeners are also needed to help maintain gardens at hospices, day centres or botanical gardens.  Organic gardeners may want to help with environmental groups working on school projects.
