Across
Wirral, volunteers play a vital role in improving the quality of
life of people in their local communities.
Volunteer recognition schemes are an ideal way of highlighting
the skills, time and commitment given by your volunteers and
allow you to say a public 'thank you' to them for all their hard
work.
There
a number of award schemes in Wirral:

Wirral
100 Hours Volunteer Certificate.
Awarded for 100 hours of voluntary
work.

Wirral
Student Volunteer Certificate. Awarded for
voluntary work carried out over an academic year. Students
don't have to complete a fixed number of hours but need to show
commitment by attending on a regular basis.

Long
Service Medallion Award. Presented
to volunteers who have been nominated for their long service in
voluntary work. There are 4 awards, bronze, silver, gold and
platinum ranging from 3 to 20+
years service.

Wirral
Volunteer of the Year. Recognises volunteers in
6 categories - waged, unwaged, younger person, older person,
person with a disability and a specialist category which
changes each year.
Awards
are presented by the Mayor of Wirral at special awards
ceremonies held throughout the year.

Council for Voluntary Service and supported by all the CVSs in
