     Mentoring

A mentor is someone who gives guidance to someone on a one-to-one basis by advising, befriending and supporting them.  There are a variety of mentoring projects in Wirral which support different groups of people including young people, ex-offenders, ex-drug users and people with mental health problems or learning difficulties.

As volunteer mentor can really make a difference to those being mentored being able to give commitment is crucial and generally volunteers need to be able to make a commitment for at least 6 months.  All mentoring projects offer full training and support for volunteers.
